Toucan necklace

Wooden toucan necklace hand carved from ash wood and covered with hard wax oil. The toucan is a very colorful bird, whose most striking feature is its huge beak. I tried to capture all the toucan’s features as best as I could in this pendant. I used natural pigments to create the different colors. Every feather and line is hand-carved. The back of the pendant has a smooth flat surface with my signature. This pendant would make a wonderful gift for a lover of exotic nature, a tropical travel enthusiast, or perhaps even the owner of a real pet toucan.
