Caterpillar pendant

Hand carved yellow-green caterpillar pendant made from honeysuckle wood. Covered with hard wax oil. Each segment of this caterpillar has been carved and polished by hand. The ornament is intricately detailed on all sides. It is a plump caterpillar crawling along a twig. This piece of jewellery is designed as a reminder that every living creature has its own significance and value. Even a caterpillar, which is often regarded as a pest, at the very least provides food for many species of birds. Everything in nature is interconnected. Indeed, this honeysuckle bush once died because it had been damaged by insects, but I gave it a new lease of life by turning it into a wooden caterpillar necklace.
