Welsh corgi pendant

Hand carved wooden dog pendant made from apricot wood and finished with hard wax oil. I was inspired to create this pendant by the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed of dog. Corgis are big dogs in small bodies. They are highly intelligent, exceptionally affectionate, and full of spirited energy. I wanted to capture the overwhelming energy of these cheerful dogs in this pendant. I carefully carved this dog—fully detailed from all sides—from a single piece of wood. I paid special attention to the dog’s characteristic large ears, short legs, and almost smiling face. I believe I’ve managed to capture the true spirit of a corgi in this pendant.
